River Delta Czech Pils is recognized as one of the best brews in the nation at the nation’s largest professional beer competition
Brunswick, GA • October 15, 2024 — Silver Bluff Brewing Company earned a Silver medal at the 2024 Great American Beer Festival (GABF®) competition, hosted and presented by the Brewers Association.
In the 2024 competition, beers and ciders spanning 107 categories and 175 different styles (including all subcategories) were judged meticulously by 285 judges over 7 days. Awards presented during the Great American Beer Festival competition are considered coveted symbols of brewing excellence globally, and brews that receive an award are considered the most excellent representation of their style category. For the first time, five cider categories were added to the competition; expanding the pool of world-class brews to be judged, awarded accolades, and recognized for their excellence.
Silver Bluff Brewing Company was recognized in the Bohemian-Style Pilsener category for its River Delta Czech Pils, an authentic Czech-style pilsner that embodies traditional brewing techniques. With a crisp malt backbone and a delicate balance of hops, it’s a testament to our dedication to crafting exceptional beers.

Thanks to a panel of 285 professional judges from around the world and over 250 volunteers, the Great American Beer Festival competition analyzed 9,216 entries over two phases and 7 days. The 2024 competition saw entries from 1869 breweries and cideries from all 50 states plus Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico.
“The Great American Beer Festival competition recognizes greatness in innovation and craftsmanship from brewers all over the country, and the Brewers Association takes great pride in crowning one winner from each category as ‘Best in Class,’” remarked Chris Williams, competition director for the Brewers Association. “This year’s competition was especially notable with the introduction of five new cider categories. This expansion not only increased the competition’s scope but also highlights producers’ relentless pursuit of creativity and excellence. The Brewers Association is proud to celebrate the accomplishments of this year’s winners.”
The 2024 medals were unveiled during an intimate ceremony held at the Bellco Theatre in Denver on Saturday, October 12, 2024, as part of the Great American Beer Festival. The ceremony was live streamed via The Brewing Network. Silver Bluff Brewing Company is a craft brewery established in 2017 and opened in July 2020, located in the Golden Isles region of Georgia. We are situated in the heart of Historic Downtown Brunswick. In addition to our brewing facility, Silver Bluff features a beer garden, taproom, and event space.
Silver Bluff is one of the first breweries in Georgia purposefully designed to both distribute beer and take advantage of new Georgia regulations (SB-85) that allow for the sale and consumption of beer on premises. Draft beer, growlers, and packaged beer can all be purchased at the brewery to be taken home, or enjoyed in our taproom or beer garden. We work with one of the top distributors in Georgia to bring year-round offerings and seasonal offerings to Georgia’s coastal market. We have seasonal and house beers that are available only at the brewery and taproom, which provides a unique experience for vacationers and beer lovers who visit the brewery.
Silver Bluff is also a location for meetings, weddings, and special events. With a unique outdoor beer garden space, our facilities are the perfect place to enjoy a major event—or just a pint with a few friends.
